Recent Renovations

The Maltex Building is currently engaged in a host of exciting renovations. The main entrance will be completely updated with new colors, lighting, tile, carpet, and bamboo ceilings. At the rear of the building, a curved handicap-accessible ramp will provide an impressive entrance to the building, and the pavement near the loading dock will be transformed in to a beautiful sculpture garden and outdoor meeting area.

The interior of Suite 115, formerly a warehouse space, has been transformed in to a high-end office suite, complete with cork floors and bamboo finishes. The exterior of the single-story annex will receive new energy-efficient windows, modern metal-and-wood siding, and a new deck providing storefront businesses the convenience of direct access and frontage on Pine Street.

The Greening of the Maltex
The owners of The Maltex Building are committed to transitioning the Maltex to a more green and energy-efficient building. High R-value windows are starting to be installed in some suites, and all corridor lighting will soon be replaced with high performance energy-efficient fixtures. A full energy audit has been scheduled, which will give us a roadmap toward further reducing our carbon footprint in the coming years.
